68 home runs, 2536 hits and 759 RBIs are the stuff of legend, but D.D. Styles doesn't see it that way as one of the best contact and average hitters in SIMBL history and a high percentage lead-off threat to get a hit and steal second base to get into scoring position quickly more often then most players in SIMBL history.  A three-time league batting champion, he also had four 200-hit seasons and hit over .320 in five seasons and over .300 in eight seasons of his 17-year career.  One of the SIMBL's biggest threats on the base paths in the prime of his career, he was a two-time league stolen base champion and stole 60 or more bases in 10 seasons of his storied career as a lead-off catalyst for five teams in his SIMBL career.

"For me, baseball is about the team winning. I could have taken an 0-for-4 that day, but if our team won, I don't think you could have come into the locker room and been able to tell that I did not get a hit because the most important thing to me was that we won. That was what we intended to do when we took the field. That's what it was about."

Fortunately for baseball's newest immortal, he had far more good days than bad days. That's why Styles has been installed into the SIM Baseball League Hall of Fame by the Baseball Writers Association. In his historic career the standout right fielder participated in 2015 games, batted .305, scored 1166 runs and won a few games, too.  Styles is widely considered as one of the best pure contact hitters in SIMBL history.

The baseball legends today welcomed to their exclusive club a new third baseman by the name of Kendry Barbee. His induction ceremony was held today at the SIM Baseball League Hall of Fame.

"I remember thinking to myself after I had had a couple of good years that if I keep doing this, maybe I just might make it to the Hall of Fame. The dream became a reality today and I must say this is a very proud day.

Over his career Barbee batted .287 and collected 2713 hits, 466 home runs and 1418 RBIs. He played in 2519 games and retired from baseball at age 41. His best years came as a member of the Ann Arbor Wolverines, whose hat he wore at his induction ceremony.

His former manager introduced Barbee saying, "The big thing about Kendry is that he could hit any pitch. I don't mean only strikes. He could hit a ball off his ankles or off his ear."

Nyomo Yokota played baseball a long time and he played it well. Then at the age of 43, he called it a career. In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments, Yokota has been voted into the Hall of Fame, with 81.3% of ballots voting him in.

Nyomo Yokota played baseball a long time and he played it well. Then at the age of 43, he called it a career. In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments, Yokota has been voted into the Hall of Fame, with 81.3% of ballots voting him in.  The former 2035 off-season Supplemental Free Agent who signed with the former Whitby Battalion (now Montreal Mavericks) during the 2035 off-season, is the first Supplemental Free Agent in the SIMBL's long 50-season history to be inducted into the SIMBL Hall Of Fame.

Yokata is a two Slugger Of The Year winner and joins only fellow Japanese countryman and SIMBL Hall Of Famer Akato Sakata as the only players who have won the MVP award in both the Union League and Syndicate League with Yokata winning the Union League MVP in 2037 with the Whitby Battalion and the Syndicate League MVP with the former Norfolk Buccaneers (now St. Petersburg Admirals).

"There is so much to love about this game," the newest honoree said during his induction speech at the SIM Baseball League Baseball Hall of Fame. "I couldn't imagine anything greater than my first major league game. Then I hit my first home run. Then the other landmarks came. But nothing tops today... to think that I made it to the Hall of Fame."

The legendary second baseman put up some impressive numbers. Yokota played in 2324 games, compiled a .282 batting average, hit 354 home runs, drove in 1307 runs and scored 1391 times during his career.
