It's been a year of triumph for veteran Keitaro Sakai of the Bend Bandits as he hit his way to the 2064 Union League Daryl Ryles Slugger Of The Year MVP Award.

The 34-year-old veteran compiled a .320 average and .385 on-base percentage by putting together 204 hits, 46 doubles, 2 triples, 42 home runs and 68 walks. He also scored 128 times and drove in 123 runs.

The 2064 SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series Most Valuable Player who helped lead the Bandits to the first SIMBL championship in franchise history has now won the top award two of the past three seasons.

Corey Schmidt of the Bristol Owls finished second in voting, while Carson Reese of the Calgary Clippers finished third.

Asheville's James Polanski put the wraps on a fine campaign today by winning the 2064 Syndicate League Daryl Ryles Slugger Of The Year MVP Award.

The 29-year-old veteran scorched the opposition with a .339 average, picking up 202 hits, 33 doubles, 2 triples, 48 home runs and 148 RBIs, while scoring 112 runs.

The former #1 overall pick of the 2056 SIMBL Draft's 1.059 OPS and 10.1 WAR this past season were the 9th-highest in SIMBL New File Era (2019-current) history.

Eddie Bauer of the Hawaii Pineapples finished second in voting, while Marvin Thomas LaDuke of the Rochester Roosters finished third.

2064 UNION LEAGUE HURLER OF THE YEAR

The 2064 Bobby Grimes Hurler Of The Year Award in the Union League has been given to Julian Escobar of the Texas Roadrunners.

The Roadrunners ace worked 260 innings this season, crafting a 24-6 record and a 2.28 ERA in 35 starts. Escobar collected 262 strikeouts while walking 56 and limiting opponents to a .215 batting average.

The fourth overall pick of the 2051 SIMBL Draft won a Triple Crown for the second consecutive season and for the fourth time in his 12-year career.

It is the third season in a row the Roadrunners ace has won the award and the fourth in his twelve-year career.  The eight-time All-Star joins eight other pitchers (Bobby Grimes 8, Eddie Batista 7, Alan Alexander Anderson 6, Richard Dicks Jr. 5, Kenji Sato 4, Mark Sipp 4, Richard Nagy 4 and Michael Kilbane 4) to have won four or more Hurler Of The Year Awards in their career.

Manuel Morin of the New York Enforcers finished second in voting, while Mario Rojas of the Texas Roadrunners finished third.

The Knoxville Lumberkings have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making.

It's Chuck Trinemeyer, this year's Syndicate League Bobby Grimes Hurler Of The Year Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.

Trinemeyer compiled a 20-5 record in 33 starts, tallied 173 strikeouts in 240.1 innings and recorded a 3.74 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .262 batting average against him.

Boddie Montgomery of the River City Rascals finished second in voting, while Matthew Olson of the AC Kansas City finished third.

The Bob Detty Middle Reliever Of The Year Award goes to the Union League reliever who put forward the strongest season.

This season, that player was Juan Costello of the Calgary Clippers, who was above all his peers in 2064.

"I just feel like the ball was doing what I wanted it to this year and I was in command most nights out there," he said. "Some days you don't have your best stuff, but I didn't have too many of those days this year."

On the season, Costello pitched 38 innings, with 38 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.13. He also had 3 saves in 39 relief appearances.

The 32 year-old relief ace won the award for the second time in his nine-year career previously winning the award in the 2058 season.

Justin Andersen of the Boston Patriots finished second in voting, while Juan Cabrera of the Calgary Clippers finished third.

The future appears bright for the Knoxville Lumberkings relief ace, who captured the award with 5 saves in 29 relief appearances, 41 strikeouts in 32 innings and a record of 4-1 to go with his 1.12 ERA.

Francisco Sanchez of the Hawaii Pineapples finished second in voting, while Greg Lindsey of the Knoxville Lumberkings finished third.

Miami star closer Rod Ellis picked up another addition for his trophy case in winning the 2064 Union League Cedric Issacson Fireman Of The Year Award.  In doing so, the 32 year-old Sharks veteran joined only four others (SIMBL Hall Of Famers Bill Hyer, Barrett Jenkins, Cedric Issacson and Santiago Rivera) to have won four of the awards for bullpen excellence in a career.

The five-time All-Star threw 71.2 innings in 67 games posting a 2.51 ERA with a 1.12 WHIP while leading the Union League with a career-high 49 saves.  The 32 year-old five-time All-Star converted 86.0% of his save opportunities in winning the award for the fourth time in the past six seasons.

St. Petersburg star closer Todd Rogers capped a historic season and took home the 2064 Syndicate League Cedric Issacson Fireman Of The Year Award.

The 32 year-old won the award for the second time in his career previously winning the award in 2056.  Rogers also is one of a handful of relievers to have won a Bob Detty Middle Reliever Of The Year and a Cedric Issacson Fireman Of The Year Award in a career.

The nine-time All-Star made league history by joining SIMBL Hall Of Famer Cedric Issacson as the only pitchers in SIMBL history to post several 50-save seasons in a career.

The former sixth overall pick of the 2052 SIMBL Draft posted a sizzling 1.47 ERA with a 0.86 WHIP in 79.1 innings.  Rogers saved 52 games with a 92.9 save percentage in taking home the award as the Syndicate League's best closer this past season.

2064 UNION LEAGUE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

It was a very productive rookie season for Toronto catcher Raul Sanchez. He made the club, made the starting lineup, then in the regular season put up numbers impressive enough that the Union League presented him the league's Chris Cota Rookie Of The Year Award for 2064.

It was a season to remember for the 21-year-old Rush newcomer. In addition to hitting .296, Sanchez played in 134 games and collected 8 home runs, 57 RBIs and 59 runs scored.

The #1 overall pick of the 2062 SIMBL Draft also capped off his award-winning rookie season by being named to the Union League All-Star team and also won his first Union League Richard P. DeMarco Gold Glove Defensive Award.

Cipriano Garcia of the Boston Patriots finished second in voting, while Troy Sesco of the Texas Roadrunners finished third.

In his first year, he accumulated 8 wins and 11 losses in 32 starts. Throwing a total of 233.1 innings, Allison struck out 201, walked 88 and held opponents to a .237 average, while posting a 3.74 ERA.

Devin Morrison of the Hawaii Pineapples finished second in voting, while Carlos Sanchez of the Sacramento Giants finished third.
