LANCE'S LISTS: PRE-2018 FREE AGENCY SIMBL FINANCIALS
While ex-Roadrunnners two-time UL MVP Osvaldo "The Predator" Quijada (above) is the biggest name to hit SIMBL free agency in several seasons, several teams may not be able to even bid on his services if they don't watch their team finances in the growing ever-importance the new OOTP X version puts on financials in the new game. The ramifications are just starting to be felt in the SIMBL as the strategic part of the game is expected to play more of an importance than the league has previously experienced. The 32 year-old superstar is reportedly seeking $21,000,000 a season over four years, which would make him the highest-paid player in the SIMBL if his wishes are granted.
By Lance Stanley SIMBL ContributorHi again youngsters. Lance Stanley Reporting.
The SIMBL's league finances have been getting plenty of attention around the league recently as the OOTP X game delves deeper into the importance of watching your team's bottom line to succeed in the game even in the financially liberal SIMBL.
An undisciplined financial strategy could get teams into deep do-do after just one season of paying beyond their means and restrict teams from contract extensions, signing free agents, etc...
As the league looks into creating a fairer playing field regarding media contracts, market sizes and a soon-to-be-revealed new participation points program, here's a "Lance's List" look at the current SIMBL financial state of affairs at the 12/1/2017 SIMBL league date:
