ASHEVILLE STUD RELIEVER DAWSON OUT FOUR-FIVE MONTHS WITH TORN BACK MUSCLE
Thursday, August 10th, 2017: The Asheville Smokies were dealt a severe blow when Philip Dawson was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Carolina Bearcats. This season Dawson has logged 57 relief appearances, 51.2 IP, 38 strikeouts, and a 2.96 ERA. His W-L mark is no wins and 3 losses, and he has 2 saves.
