SIMBL SHOCKER: COMMISH SUSPENDS ROOSTERS GM CARTERDefenders Of Ruston GM Call One-Week Suspension A 'Witch Hunt'

Police haul away a pro-Jamey Carter protester in front of the SIMBL League Office after SIMBL Commissioner Christian DeMarco handed down a one-week suspension to the Roosters GM for ordering his players to payback New Orleans after a brawl between the two clubs last week. The one hundred or so protesters grew more and more vocal until arrests had to be made. Some of the protesters chanted in unison for DeMarco's immediate resignation as SIMBL Commish. SIMBL followers are in a state of shock as SIMBL Commissioner Christian DeMarco has suspended Ruston Roosters GM Jamey Carter after an investigation pertaining to last week's brawl between Ruston and New Orleans. The brawl was instigated by New Orleans SP Ulises Coca who beaned Ruston SS Jeffrey Donmoyer. The result was the most intense basebrawl involving two SIMBL teams since the infamous Texas-Calgary two-game brawls several seasons ago. Donmoyer and Coca were subsequently suspended for 14 games after the fight but the SIMBL League Office didn't stop their investigation there. It was suspected that shortly after the incident Carter instructed his Roosters players to intentionally throw at and pursue violent play on the basepaths in the two sudden rivals' next series against each other. DeMarco held a short news conference in which he stated, "Jamey is an integral part of this league and for him to order and lead such behavior is inexcuseable and obviously not in the best interest of the SIMBL. We are all disappointed at Jamey for this and hopefully this will wake him up a little." Those suspicions turned out to be true according to an investigation by the SIMBL Commissioner's Office and DeMarco levied a one-week suspension from 'any involvement pertaining to running the Ruston Roosters' on-the-field operations for one full week' detailed in a statement handed down by the SIMBL Commish's office today. Several attempts at reaching Carter shortly after the announcement were unsuccessful and several SIMBL media outlets are expecting a retort from the vocal Roosters GM in short time. Several pro-Carter protesters gathered outside the SIMBL League Office after the announcement with signs and placards denouncing the decison. One protester called the investigation and suspension "nothing short of a witch hunt. Free Jamey now!"
