BANDITS LEGEND EDDIE BATISTA MOVES INTO FOURTH-PLACE ON SIMBL ALL-TIME WINS LIST
37 Year-Old Fifty-Seven Wins Away From Becoming SIMBL All-Time Wins King
The recent winning of the Pete Farmer (above) lottery has Bend fans buzzing with him joining current Union League Slugger Of The Year MVP Keitaro Sakai and 2061 Union League Rookie Of The Year and #1 overall pick phenom Luke McAliser to give the Bandits plenty of offensive power to back their longtime ace Eddie Batista (above top) and a current starting rotation that features a talented group of all former Top Five draft picks and lead Bend back into the playoffs for the first time in 18 seasons in the toughest division in the SIMBL which features Calgary and Boston, two teams who have won the Union League pennant the past two seasons. Bend looks to be much improved to continue to give Fast Eddie enough wins pace to keep him on track to maintain a realistic chance to challenge to be the SIMBL all-time wins king by the end of his first-ballot SIMBL Hall Of Fame career.
Hi again youngsters. The Old Man here, Lance Stanley, reporting for the SIMBL as yet another season has now begun.
2063 Opening Day has passed and with it more SIMBL history was made.
Bend seven-time Union League Hurler Of The Year Eddie Batista won two games and moved into fourth-place all by himself on the SIMBL all-time wins list with his 279th career victory.
The 37 year-old is now in his 18th season with the Bandits who drafted him #1 overall as a generational talented phenom in the 2046 SIMBL Draft and, as of the first SIM of the season, Batista is 53 wins away from moving ahead of SIMBL Hall Of Famer Jimmy Wagner into second-place and is 57 wins away from overtaking Hall Of Famer and six-time Syndicate League Hurler Of The Year Alan Alexander Anderson on the SIMBL all-time win list.
There have been only three pitchers in SIMBL history to win 300 games: Anderson, Wagner and the 8-time Syndicate League Hurler Of The Year Bobby Grimes who won 314 games in only 14 seasons winning 7 championships with the San Diego Warewolves, who Batista must next pass on his climb up towards the SIMBL all-time win kingdom.
The 14-time All-Star is still rated as the third-best starting pitcher in the SIMBL and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
The future first-ballot SIMBL Hall Of Famer though has only been to one postseason in his entire 17-season tenure with the Bandits something SIMBL charter and Bandits founding GM Ted Williams looks to change this season as the Bandits are predicted to be one of the most improved teams in the league. The Bandits currently have the league longest postseason drought dating back 17 seasons to 2047. Bend is one of only three franchises left joining Knoxville and Rochester yet to win a SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship in the long history of the league.
Williams added to reigning Union League MVP Keitaro Sakai and much-heralded 2061 Union League Rookie Of The Year, Luke McAlister, the grandson of SIMBL legend and five-time Union League MVP Colt McAlister, with several key free agent signings with the most available free agent spending money in the SIMBL and has assembled a starting rotation of all top five draft picks over the last decade with talent oozing from the front five rotation who are hungry for a taste of the craziness of the SIMBL postseason.
Williams also struck gold and won the lottery for uber-DH phenom Pete Farmer recently who went directly into the Bandits cleanup spot and looks to cause havoc for Union League pitchers for seasons to come.
With a talented and improved team the rising will be tough as the Bandits have the misfortune of being in the UL Central which is the same division as the Calgary Clippers who represented the UL in last seasons SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series and lost in Game Seven on a bottom of the 9th inning walk-off. The season before, the Boston Patriots of GM JD Schloss won the SIMBL championship only two seasons ago.
Williams has acknowledged that he has received several-plus-several offers for Batista over all the years but has had to turn them all down for the opportunity to reward one of the very best pitchers in SIMBL history by keeping him at home and waiting until the team assembled around him can use his talents to bypass the Calgarys and Bostons and the other perennial contenders to postseason success of their own before Old Man Time takes the legendary Fast Eddie into retirement which seems several seasons away at this time of his generational talent.

2063 SIMBL DRAFT ORDER ANNOUNCED
Rush Hold #1 Overall Pick For A Record Third Consecutive Season
While some SIMBL GMs are lucky enough to have guided their teams to the craziness and unpredictable maze that is the SIMBL postseason, some other SIMBL GMs are already busy looking over their teams short and long-term and preparing for the off-season, free agency, trade block talks and the hope that comes with the annual SIMBL Draft.
For the fifth time time in his long tenure as the Toronto Rush GM, Eric Savard will have the first pick of the annual SIMBL Draft. It is the first time in the SIMBL's long 16 real-life year and 59-season history that a team will pick first overall in the annual SIMBL Draft for three consecutive seasons.
Here's the official 2063 SIMBL draft order, before any possible trades, when the draft begins upon 2063 Opening Day when SIMBL GMs will have plenty of time to scout and queue their short lists when the draft class is officially scouted, released and available in game upon the conclusion of 2063 Spring Training.
As is tradition, the live part of the draft runs four rounds then the live draft concludes. Come the 6/15 league date, the draftees are put into the file and Rounds 5-10 are auto run by the game and then all draftees go into their respective franchise's farm systems.
Thanks to longtime SIMBL GM and New York GM Chris Gattuso and his beautiful and talented daughter for the continued help with most of the graphics used on the website including the draft logos every season.

SMOKIES STUD CLOSER HEATHCLIFF KELLER POSTS ONLY 14TH 50-SAVE SEASON IN SIMBL HISTORY
Asheville closer Heathcliff Keller (above) was a second round draft pick, 31st overall, in the 2057 SIMBL Draft. The two-time All-Star joined 13 others as those who have posted a 50-save season in the long 58-season history of the SIMBL.
Asheville All-Star closer Heathcliff Keller made SIMBL history this season by posting only the fourteenth 50-save season in the 58-season history of the league.
Keller had a historic season. The 27 year-old pitched 68.2 innings posting a sizzling 1.83 ERA with a 0.99 WHIP. The two-time All-Star saved 51 games in 56 chances as led the SIMBL in saves and save percentage and is a heavy favorite to be voted the 2062 Syndicate League Fireman Of The Year.
