 | 5-Hit Game for Gill Thursday, June 15th, 2023: It was a sensational day at the plate for Ron Gill as he led the charge to a 6-5 win over the Cyclones. The Lancaster second baseman was pure misery for the Brooklyn pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Cyclones told BNN reporters after the game, "Gill put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Ron Gill hit a three-run home run off Joe Dooley in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th, singled in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 12th. Thus far this year Gill has hit .391 with 3 home runs and 28 RBIs. |   |
