Owls End Price's Streak Wednesday, August 23rd , 2056 The Bristol Owls pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Michael Price hitless in 2 at-bats during the club's 6-2 victory over the Cleveland Brownies at The Park At Chippens Hill. The disappointing performance ended a 22-game hitting streak for the right fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Price said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." So far this season, Price has recorded a .340 batting average with 141 hits, 23 home runs, 61 RBIs, 85 runs scored and a .442 OBP. |
