Rochester Shuts Out Chicago, 3-0 Friday, September 9th , 2061 In a seemingly effortless performance, Corey Hicks of the Rochester Roosters shot down the Chicago Hitmen 3-0 on a 4-hit shutout. "Corey was just locating so well and using his pitches," Rochester manager Matt LaDuke said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Hicks recorded 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Chicago manager Zachary Smejkal said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him." In 29 starts this year Hicks has posted 10 wins while suffering 11 losses. He has pitched 196 innings, allowed 197 hits, struck out 166 and has a 3.90 ERA.
