San Diego Beats St. Petersburg 2-1, Sipp Ks 15

San Diego Warewolves starter Mark Sipp brought his best stuff to Great American Ballpark today against the St. Petersburg Admirals, striking out 15 batters in his club's 2-1 victory.
In a strong performance, the 33-year-old Sipp gave up 5 hits in his 8 innings of work and issued no walks.
"I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my changeup was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me."
Checking out his stats for the season, Sipp has notched 11 wins and 7 losses in 21 starts, 2.20 ERA and struck out 197 batters in 167.2 innings.
