Nagy Spins Shutout
Friday, July 4th, 2042
Boston's Richard Nagy brought his best stuff to Jack Daniels Field today, shutting down and shutting out the Knoxville Lumberkings 16-0. He racked up 5 strikeouts, surrendered 3 hits and issued 1 walk on his way to the victory.
"We barely made him work at all," Knoxville manager Andy Hutchinson said later. "Boston could probably pitch him again tomorrow if they wanted."
Nagy has a 6-3 season record so far. In 17 starts, he has fanned 102 batters in 114 innings with a 2.92 ERA.
