Sorensen Connects for 3 Homers for Smokies Friday, April 10th , 2065 Ray Sorensen brutalized the AC Kansas City pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 10-5 victory at Blue Ridge Stadium. The Asheville Smokies first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Ray Sorensen today," AC Kansas City manager James Walker said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Ray Sorensen hit a two-run home run off Poet Jackson in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Poet Jackson in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Alejandro Ramirez in the 7th.
