Hit #2500 for Brownies Paladino

Cleveland's Bartolo Paladino got the standing ovation -- but the Ann Arbor Wolverines got the win.
It was a special day for him at Michigan Stadium. A day when Paladino notched hit #2500 of his career. The fans went wild when he did. Even the Wolverines fans applauded.
The Brownies right fielder went 2-for-4 in a losing cause as Ann Arbor spoiled the party with the 8-7 victory.
In the postgame interview, a downhearted Paladino told the media, "We lost -- It's not about individual accomplishments -- we lost."
When pressed further, he admitted his pride in reaching the 2500-hit mark, "A lot of great players never get there. I'm proud, but I would be happier if we had won."
For his career Paladino has hit at a .268 clip. Among his lifetime numbers are 2500 hits, 336 doubles, 68 triples, 455 home runs and 1382 RBIs.
