SIMBL News: First-Year Player Draft Friday, June 15th , 2063 One of the hardest things to figure is the SIMBL rookie draft. Teams spend money and resources to scout, only to have their plans dashed when other clubs snare "their" top pick. Some give in to anxiety and pick the best guy they think they can find, while others sit back patiently and put together a solid draft strategy based on long-term winning. Time will tell who the winners will be. The clubs with the first five selections are Toronto, Oregon, Hawaii, Bend and Rochester. In a recent poll of draft speculators, BNN found the top ten hottest picks of the draft would be: 1. Jason Foster, 22 year-old SS out of college. 2. Bobby Romanelli, 18 year-old C out of high-school. 3. David Hansen, 19 year-old C out of high-school. 4. Max Brown, 22 year-old 3B out of college. 5. Derek Shaw, 18 year-old 2B out of high-school. 6. Manuel Ayala Jr., 18 year-old 1B out of high-school. 7. Clemente Jackson, 18 year-old CF out of high-school. 8. Denver Proctor, 17 year-old SS out of high-school. 9. Ramon Ortiz, 18 year-old 2B out of high-school. 10. Randy Gillepsie, 18 year-old 3B out of high-school. |
