| Oregon's Bennett Reaches 2500 Hits Wednesday, April 27th, 2044 Oregon's Kent Bennett entered the record books today as he collected hit number 2500 at Dawg Pound Park.
"I am proud of this. Not too many players reach this level. You have to be around quite a few years and you have to get a lot of hits," Bennett said after the game.
On his milestone day he went 1 for 4 as the Pioneers won 6-2 over the Cleveland Brownies.
Lifetime Bennett has hit .309 with 2500 hits, 180 home runs, 1083 RBIs and scored 1138 runs.
