UL Names Best Player Monday, August 16th, 2055 At the age of 34, Ty Williams might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Cleveland left fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .440 batting average. For his efforts Williams collected the Union League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 11 hits in 25 at-bats, 4 home runs and 10 RBIs last week in 6 games. This year Williams is hitting .281 with 24 home runs and 83 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .331 clip and scored 72 runs. |
