Syndicate League Announces #1 Player Monday, May 18th , 2065 It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Michael O'Neill, the Asheville Smokies 25-year-old right fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Syndicate League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 12 hits in 27 at-bats, compiling a .444 average with 3 home runs and 10 RBIs. This season O'Neill has delivered 40 hits in 147 at-bats for a .272 average with 9 home runs. He is getting on base at a .312 clip and his totals also include 33 RBIs and 24 runs scored. This year O'Neill has played in 39 games. |
