Roosters Perez Dominates Owls Thursday, May 7th , 2065 The Rochester Roosters shut out the Bristol Owls 2-0 today behind the strong pitching of Ricardo Perez. Perez surrendered only 6 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 7. Following the last out, Perez appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Bristol manager Greg Checovetes, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Perez's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart. The Owls skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Roosters press conference, Perez confirmed that it was regarding the celebration. "He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Perez said. "And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Rochester manager Matt LaDuke added.
