Carlton's 24-Game Hitting Streak Ends
Friday, May 1st , 2065
Maybe it really is taboo to talk about a hitting streak before it's over. Hours after speaking to the press about his 24-game hitting streak, San Diego right fielder Kevin Carlton went hitless in 3 at-bats today at Great American Ballpark.

The sudden hitting drought came as the Warewolves took the 14-2 win over the Boston Patriots.

"Nope, it's not magic," Carlton said in his postgame press conference. "Nobody jinxed me. Streaks don't last forever. I've heard about it every day for weeks now. My roomie told me to get a hit before every game and wished me luck. I just ran out of hits."

This season in 23 games Carlton is batting .453 with 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and has scored 18 times.
