Jason Sanchez was a vital contributor to the 7-6 Ann Arbor victory over Montreal. The Wolverines right fielder went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Colin MacGregor got the win, improving to 3-12. He worked 6 innings, giving up 5 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 4. Shane Simpson earned his 11th save in 12 chances.
The Wolverines got a lift from shortstop Steven Acosta, who in the top of the sixth stroked a 2-0 fastball into left for a 2-run single. It was his 54th hit of the season and put the Wolverines ahead, 6-2.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Sanchez told the Ann Arbor Today.
The Wolverines raised their record to 29-51.
