Brownies Bridle Sharks, 4-3
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Cleveland Brownies eventually prevailed.
The Cleveland Brownies did just enough to sneak past the Miami Sharks, 4-3, at Dawg Pound Park. Cleveland second baseman Kareem Said, in particular, had a standout performance. Ivan Alvarez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 4 save opportunities.
Dustin Stephens, the Cleveland center fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 4-3, Brownies. For the game, Stephens was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"The vibe's good," said Cleveland manager Greg Adler. "We've got to keep it going."
The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Brownies.
