Home Loss Shrinks Bandits' Series Lead to 3-1
In a remarkable effort, Frank Nipper single-handedly kept the Miami Sharks in the playoffs.

The Miami Sharks left-hander threw a complete game shutout on the road to prevent a Bend Bandits sweep, striking out 7 along the way. The Sharks needed all he had, as their own offense struggled to get into gear. The 2-0 Miami win means the club now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Nipper pitched a complete game for Miami. The left-hander was charged with no runs on 4 hits. He struck out 7 during his 121-pitch performance.

"Frank did a tremendous job," said Miami manager AJ Woolley.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Deschutes Field in Bend.
