Riding the 2-hit performance of third baseman Luke McAlister, the Bend Bandits flattened the Calgary Clippers, 12-4, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series today. McAlister was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 7 for the Bandits, who now lead 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

The Bandits took a 7-0 lead in the top of the fifth inning. Facing Calgary hurler Tony MacNiven with no outs, McAlister hit a grand slam home run.

"We haven't stopped playing," Calgary manager Christian DeMarco said. "We didn't get this far to give up."

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, October 19th , 2064 at Deschutes Field in Bend.
