Texas Wins at Home to Take 2-0 Lead in LDS
The Texas Roadrunners got a strong performance from pitcher Mario Rojas, who stymied the visiting Boston Patriots en route to a win, 8-1, in Game 2 of the League Divisional Series today. The Patriots could never get a bead on the right-handed Rojas, who threw 8.1 innings of shutout ball. The Roadrunners now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

Rojas allowed no runs on 5 hits over 8.1 innings for the Roadrunners. He walked 0 and struck out 8.

"I just trusted my stuff," said Rojas.

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Canford Park in Boston.
