Davis, Wolverines Wallop Sharks in Game 1 of LDS
The Ann Arbor Wolverines started the League Divisional Series in dominant fashion today, blowing out the host Miami Sharks at The Hangar Grounds At North Shore by a score of 11-2 and securing an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Wolverines left fielder Wesley Davis was named player of the game as he belted 2 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2.

Ann Arbor relied on the bat of Pedro Cendejas Jr. to get the win. The designated hitter ripped a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Wolverines ahead, 4-0. For the game, Cendejas Jr. had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Troy Vogel said.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow. Slated to start are Travis Rockwell for Ann Arbor and Douglas Gilbert for Miami.
