The New York Enforcers got a sterling performance from pitcher Alex Thompson, but the River City Rascals still prevailed, 3-2. Thompson threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Greg Colbert got credit for the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. River City raised its record to 33-33 with the win.

The clutch hit was provided by Holden Pryor. He delivered a walk-off 2-run double off Ron Prado in the bottom of the ninth.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said New York skipper Chris Gattuso.
