Bandits Win at Chicago, 7-1
|
Bend Bandits pitcher Daniel Lewis was in fine form, leading his team past the Chicago Hitmen, 7-1. The Union League West-leading Bandits are 32-29.
The Bandits got an important contribution from right fielder Russell Vincent, who in the top of the seventh knocked a 2-2 fastball into left-center for a run-scoring triple. It was his 4th triple of the season and put the Bandits ahead, 3-1.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Lewis.
