Rush Stay Hot, Beat Brownies, 10-3
Toronto picked up a win at Toronto Ballpark Center, bumping off the Cleveland Brownies, 10-3. Pitcher Burton Dirkschneider was a major reason the Rush emerged victorious. The Brownies, at 17-32, have lost 6 in a row.

Contributing to the Toronto win was Jimmy Hoyer. In the bottom of the third, the 34-year old right fielder had a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, the Rush in front.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Toronto manager Eric Savard.
