River City rode a decent outing from starter Boddie Montgomery to victory over the AC Kansas City. The final score was 5-2. Matthew Harris was credited with the save for River City, his 6th of the season. River City raised its record to 28-19 with the win.

Lawrence Edwards had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth for the Rascals. Coming up with the bases loaded and River City trailing 2-1, he hit a bases-clearing double.
