Rascals Upend AC Kansas City, 7-5
|
River City and AC Kansas City duked it out and the Rascals came out victorious.
The River City Rascals stopped the AC Kansas City, 7-5, at White Hart Lane. The Rascals got a big game from Lawrence Edwards, who was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Bobby Young. He's now 6-3. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits for the Rascals.
Corey O'Neal tagged a home run off Stephen Justo in the top of the fifth. His 2-run blast put the Rascals on top, 2-1. In all, O'Neal had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," O'Neal told the River City Daily News.
With the win, River City pushed its record to 27-19.
