The Bristol Owls defeated the Miami Sharks, 5-2, in Union League action at The Park At Chippens Hill. Bristol pitcher Luis Hernandez had a standout performance. Hernandez picked up the win for Bristol, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 3-5.

The Owls got an important contribution from catcher Samuel Tyler, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a 1-0 fastball into left for a 2-run double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Owls ahead, 2-1.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Hernandez said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
