Large Good, But Not Good Enough, in 11-9 Loss
Hawaii got a terrific game from third baseman Derek Large. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Indianapolis, 11-9. Large went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Jay Taylor recorded his 2nd save for Indianapolis. The loss makes Hawaii 2-2.

Jason Russell had a big grand slam home run for the Rams in the bottom of the second inning. With Indianapolis leading 4-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Gabriel Chavez and swatted a home run to left. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rams ahead, 8-1.

Russell called the triumph "a good team win."
