Sharks Walk It Off for 15th Win of Season
|
People outside the ballpark no doubt heard the roar of the crowd as the winning run crossed the plate.
The Miami Sharks beat the Bristol Owls, 5-3. Miami pitcher and Charleston, South Carolina, native Frank Nipper led the way. Miami reliever Jeff Nix picked up the win to move to 3-1. Morgan Williams suffered the loss.
Coy Young won the game for Miami when homered off Morgan Williams in the bottom of the ninth.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Young.
With the win, the Sharks have a record of 15-20.
