A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Indianapolis Rams and River City Rascals.

Charlie Holcomb was a vital contributor to the 11-6 Indianapolis victory over River City. The Rams right fielder went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ken Vega got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings.

Indianapolis used a well-timed hit by Chad Larson to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rams ahead, 5-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Holcomb.

The loss makes River City 21-13.
