Boyer Now 1-4 After Subduing Sharks
The Asheville Smokies got a good effort from starter Brent Boyer in defeating the Miami Sharks at Blue Ridge Stadium. The final score was 6-1. The Smokies, now 6-14, have not found much traction so far in 2065.

Boyer, who was born in West Memphis, Arkansas, threw 100 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing no runs.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Boyer told the Asheville Herald.
