The Indianapolis Rams grabbed a win, 6-2, over the Asheville Smokies at Cobb Field. Indianapolis left fielder Carlos Sierra was 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Simon Leto, the winner, improved to 3-1. He held the Smokies to 2 runs on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Asheville, at 5-13, is off to a poor start in 2065.

Sierra had a critical at-bat in the bottom of the seventh for Indianapolis, coming through with a 2-run triple to put Indianapolis in front, 4-2.
