Enforcers Get One-Run Win at Boston
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the New York Enforcers and Boston Patriots.
The New York Enforcers had to overcome a fine performance from Boston pitcher Justin Andersen to grab a 2-1 win at Revolution Field. Andersen allowed 2 runs over 8.2 innings. Alex Thompson got credit for the win, improving to 15-9. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 8 innings.
Juan Limon was a prime factor in the win for the Enforcers. In the top of the fifth with two out, the 30-year old third baseman hit a run-scoring double. He went 1-3 with a double.
In postgame comments, Limon told the New York Observer: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
The last-place Patriots have lost 5 consecutive games.
