Roadrunners Take Nail-Biter Over Bandits
|
The Texas Roadrunners gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
The Bend Bandits got a superb performance from pitcher Eddie Batista. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Texas. The Roadrunners won the game, 4-3. Batista threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. With the win, Texas raised its record to 82-66.
The Roadrunners procured the win, in large part because of catcher Shane Adams. In the bottom of the 12th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
In postgame remarks, Adams said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
