Rush Win at Boston, 5-1
|
Toronto picked up a win at Revolution Field, toppling the Boston Patriots, 5-1. Pitcher Salvador Beltran was one of the reasons the Rush triumphed. Eric Nielsen was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities. Toronto now has a 3-game win streak.
It could have been a different outcome for Toronto, had it not been for Eric Davis, the 31-year old first baseman . Davis contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Toronto up, 2-0.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Boston manager JD Schloss.
