Brownies Down Owls, 6-5
|
Cleveland second baseman Kareem Said helped his team beat the Bristol Owls, 6-5. Said, who finished 4th in the UL in batting average with .331 in 2060, went 3 for 4 for the Brownies. Cleveland reliever Scotty Lenart picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Luis Rangel shouldered the loss. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Cristobal Medina.
Said had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 2-2 fastball from Luis Rangel, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Brownies a 6-5 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Said.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Greg Adler, the Cleveland skipper.
The Owls drop to 7-7 and continue their mediocre start to the 2065 season.
