Rascals Stay Hot, Beat Admirals, 5-1

The home crowd had a good time watching the St. Petersburg Admirals and River City Rascals get after it.
The River City Rascals got a stellar effort from pitcher James Robson, helping River City score a win over the visiting St. Petersburg Admirals, 5-1. In 7 innings, Robson surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Allen Miller was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 6 save opportunities.
Michael Brown was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for River City. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Brown, the 4th overall pick in the 2061 draft, had a clutch at-bat. Facing St. Petersburg hurler Jesus Oliveira, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Rascals a 2-1 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Brown said.
The Rascals, at 68-67, have now won 5 straight.
