Owls Come Back Late to Top Patriots, 4-2
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Bristol Owls and Boston Patriots.
The Bristol Owls racked up a win at Revolution Field, bumping off the Boston Patriots, 4-2. Erik Dennis, who started for Bristol, pitched effectively for his team. Bristol reliever Wayne Forrest was the winner. His record is now 8-4. The losing pitcher was Andre Moore. Luis Rangel was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 12 save opportunities.
Having an impact for Bristol was Corey Schmidt. In the top of the ninth inning, the top prospect had a solo home run to make the score 3-2, Owls.
"It's a mindset," said Dennis. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
The last-place Owls have a record of 59-73.
