The Chicago Hitmen and Sacramento Giants left the fans buzzing.

The Sacramento Giants topped the Chicago Hitmen, 5-3, in Syndicate League action at Hooters Ballpark Of Sacramento. The game was highlighted by the performance of Sacramento pitcher Auggie Busmalis. Busmalis, now 13-10, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. Mark Long notched his 30th save in 37 chances.

Having an impact for Sacramento was Geraldo Martinez. In the bottom of the seventh inning, the four-time All-Star had a run-scoring single to make the score 4-3, Giants.

"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said Martinez.

Sacramento raised its record to 64-63 with the win.
