Sacramento left fielder Bill Meredith helped his team beat the New York Enforcers, 9-4. Meredith went 2 for 4 for the Giants. Sacramento's record now stands at 59-62, placing them second in the Syndicate League West.

Meredith had a timely hit for Sacramento in the top of the sixth. With New York trailing 4-3, he turned a full count fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Sacramento.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Meredith said after the game.
