The River City Rascals got a superb performance from pitcher Juan Aquino, but the Indianapolis Rams still won the game, 4-2. Aquino threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Jay Taylor snagged the win in relief. In 2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 7-4 on the season. Indianapolis goes to 63-45. The win puts them 7 games up in their division.
One of the stars of the game was Indianapolis shortstop Jason Russell. In the top of the tenth with two out, he got a fastball from Allen Miller and hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2 in favor of the Rams.
"I felt good up there," said Russell. "I saw the ball well."
