Enforcers Stun Clippers, 4-1
|
New York Enforcers starter Alex Thompson was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Calgary Clippers, 4-1. Ron Prado was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 17 of 23 save opportunities. The first-place Clippers have lost 4 straight games.
New York used a timely hit from Brandon Watkins to get the win. The right fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Enforcers ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Thompson said after the game.
